Pleasantly seated in the green expanses of the farmers’ fields, yet still in an area within easy reach of the town of Cremona. “Il Carrobbio” (Carrobbio means four-lanes or the crossroads of four ways) is a farmhouse of the characteristically Cremonese style. Originally it was devoted to agricultural farming, and then abandoned; it was bought up 35 years ago by our family which, by means of maintenance, restoration and conservation efforts, with love and patience in keeping it “alive” and in complete harmony with Nature and the surrounding environment. It is with passion that mamma Rosanna and papa Salvatore dedicate themselves to cultivating the lively green plants surrounding the Carrobbio: the garden with its colours and perfumes that are typical of Cremona, the vegetable garden that supplies with its fresh vegetables herbs the cook’s ingredients for the tradional family recipes, the fruit orchard that awards us every season with its fruits for tasty “home-made” jams and marmalades.
In 1991 the restaurant was opened, while in 2006, out of what once the part og the building occupied by the “home of the tenants” – the so – called chief farm labourers -, there where seven rooms made out that were the assigned for lodgings. The rooms , each one different from the others, large and day-lighted, personalized with soft colours and uncommon details, are fitted with all comforts and furnished with old family furniture items so as to guarantee the maximum of intimacy and comfort of a rustic and informal ambience that is, at the same time modern, with its free internet connection. |

Breakfast is rich and country-style; our home made cakes are prepared and served while ther are also toast and boiled or cooked eggs, made on the spot for anyone who prefers this taste in teh morning... during the warm season it may be enjoyed in the bower of our garden.

"Il Carrobbio" is managed by sisters Monica, Eleonora and Sara with the daily help and most precious collaboration of Michela, Serena and Ridha.
